Lori Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-05

In short: Lori has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your child's progress stays on the device. The only things that ever leave it are word requests and problem reports that a parent chooses to send.

Who we are

Lori is a vocabulary app for children, made by an independent developer, Denys Konoplin. Questions about this policy: support@playlori.com.

What stays on the device

Everything the app needs to work is stored only on the phone or tablet:

We never receive any of this. Deleting the app deletes it; the "Delete downloads" link in Settings removes the downloaded files.

Pictures and sounds

Word pictures and recordings are downloaded from our content servers, hosted by Cloudflare. As with any web request, Cloudflare processes the device's IP address to deliver the files. We do not log, store or use it.

What a parent may choose to send

Two forms in the app send a message to us, and only when a parent taps Send:

Neither includes a name, an email, a device identifier or anything about the child. Messages are stored on our server (Cloudflare) and a copy is delivered to the developer through the Telegram messenger. To stop spam, the server counts messages per IP address using a one-way hash that changes daily; the count is deleted within an hour. We keep messages until we have dealt with them and delete them on request.

Reminders

The daily reminder is scheduled by the device itself. No push service is involved and nothing is sent to us.

Subscriptions

Purchases are made through Google Play (or the App Store) and handled by them under their own privacy policies. We do not receive payment details; the app only learns whether a subscription is active.

Children

Lori is made for children aged 3 to 8 and their parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children: the app asks for no personal details, shows no ads and contains no third-party advertising or analytics code. The two forms above are meant for parents.

Your choices

You can use every part of the app without sending us anything. To have a message you sent deleted, write to support@playlori.com with roughly when it was sent and what it said; since messages carry no identifier, that is how we find it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
